Fuhs, 71 Dec. 30, 1930 - May 22, 2002 Westphalia - Dolores Eleanor Fuhs was born to Cecelia (Schechinger) and Frank Kramer, Sr., Dec. 20, 1930 on a farm near Defiance. She was baptized at St. Peter's Catholic Church and attended St. Paul's Catholic School in Defiance. She was one of 17 children. May 4, 1953, she married William "Bill" Fuhs at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Defiance. To this union 12 children were born. After their marriage, they farmed on the Fuhs home place northwest of Portsmouth until 1982. She continued to reside there until 2001 when she moved to Westphalia. She was a vital part of the farm operation. A member of St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Portsmouth since 1953, she was also a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court of St. Katherine No. 266 of Earling. She died May 22, 2002, at her home in Westphalia, at age 71 years, five months and three days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Fuhs, July 10, 1996; one daughter, Sandra Fuhs; brothers, Francis, Raymond, Lawrence, Gerald, James, Anthony, Victor and Norbert Kramer; and sisters, Cecilia and Patricia Kramer. My ggf was PETER FILOP PETERSEN b/ 21 Sep 1846/1847 in DENMARK He immigrated to USA between 1867-1872 He was the son of Peter Ernest Petersen and Anna Mette M________ / of DENMARK. Siblings were: Mary; Sasel; Mette; Andrea; Katrina and Carrie (No others immigrated). Peter Filip Petersen married Anna Marie Anderson (18 Nov 1875 in Shelby Co., IA) she was also from DENMARK. Her father was Anders J. Sorenson and her mother was Anna K. Davieson Peter Filop and Anna Marie (Anderson) Petersen are buried in Bethlehem Cemetery in Harlan, Shelby Co., IA. My gf was HANS FILOP PETERSEN who married Ada Beryl Dorsey - 14 Jun 1922 - they stayed in the Greenfield, Adair Co., IA area all their lives and are buried there. His siblings are: Mary; Jens; Carrie; Martha M.; Ernest; Andrace and Anna Dusine. If anyone else is researching these lines, please let me know. Thank you in advance.
