Maybe I can find some real information to help his in his line. I am the 3rd gr grandniece of Hannah Kemp because her brother is my direct ancestor. any time I see a Kemp or a Strong, I try to find a connection because the Strongs raised some of our Kemps after death of parents. Answer to your question, Hannah & Reuben had 5 children. More about them if you want to e-mail me direct so we don't bother Paul any more. Linda [email protected]

Surnames: STRONG, KEMP CRAIG Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/zk.2ADI/249.483.537.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I am wondering if anyone has any information about Reuben Strong. I found where he was married to Hannah Kemp, and that she died first. Did they have any children? I believe he later married in Andrew or Holt county, MO to a Lucinda Craig in May 1870. I am wondering if this was my great-great grandmother Lucinda Craig he married. This would have to be in their later years, as some of her children were already married by 1870. Also, one of her daughters married a Joseph Strong in Iowa. Any help here? Other than Hannah, I have no need to know anything about the Kemp family, as far as I know. Thank you.

The message was indeed posted to Shelby County, but as a query. I suspect the 1st replier to the query has misinterpreted the query as a general message discussion list for KEMP discussions. In any event every time someone continues the thread started by the original query I posted I get notified by e-mail.

I have some marriages CD's and did a quick check to find the following in Missouri: Lucinda Craig married Ruben Strong in Holt Co., Missouri on 29 May 1870. Lucinda Davenport married David Craig in Holt Co., Missouri on 11 June 1853. I would say that who you want to search for is Lucinda Davenport, because it appears by the time she married Ruben Strong in Missouri she was a widow perhaps. Or maybe the Lucinda Davenport Craig is the mother and the Lucinda who married Ruben Strong is her daughter? I'm making a big assumption that both of these Lucinda's are the same person, but thought it might give you another lead to search.
