I think I now know who Elizabeth Wilcut Teske is. Since I posted the query I have done some more research. I couldn't find them anywhere on the 1880 Federal Census CD's, and so I finally searched Avoca, Pottawattamie County, Iowa household by household. I found them listed under Charles and Perry Teska, along with the four oldest children. Charles was listed as a doctor. I have heard family stories that my g-g-grandmother, Sarah, had a sister named Perry. So, it appears Elizabeth and Perry Wilcut are one and the same person. These are the first two pieces of data that I have found on her.

Also in the family were two children of the Robertsons, Eldridge age 9, and Bessie Robertson, age 19 months. I hope this is helpful to you.

This bio lists his wife as Elizabeth Wilcut, daughter of John J. and Eleanor Cooper Wilcut. This makes her a sister to my g-g--grandmother, Sarah Wilcut Brees, but she is previously unknown to several of us Wilcut researchers. Does anyone know what happened to them or their children after 1915? I have not been able to find any other record of them in Shelby County. Thanks.

    1. Co. I, 6th Iowa Infantry, Civil War
    2. I got in the mail today the most wonderful item I bought for $12.00 on eBay. It's an original self-published roster and information booklet about the Co. I, 6th Iowa Infantry, War of the Rebellion, by W. P. KREMER. I was so excited to receive it. It's very interesting and he included little tidbits about some of the soldiers, what happened to them, military camp life, and a photo of himself! Published about 1912, with the author's signature. He states that almost to a man, the soldiers were single men, but "boy, was there a lot of marrying going on" when the War was over. Interesting items about some of the soldiers: CLARK, Cornelius, age 24, residence Burlington, born in Ohio. Mustered in July 18, 1861. Moon struck, causing night blindness. Discharged Nov 13, 1862, at Memphis. LUTZ, James T., age 20, residence Burlington, both in Penn. Mustered in July 18, 1861. Not with the company much. Discharged at expiration of service July 18, 1864. (Makes you wonder just where he was!?) MAHLER, Henry, age 21, residence New London, born Germany. Mustered in July 18, 1861. Re-enlisted. Taken prisoner, discharged at close of war. Killed by railroad train 1895. Great stuff!!!!! Surnames: Mullink, Fuhs Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/zk.2ADI/753.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Not related but just got interested in some families who I knew were related in the town (Bunker Hill IL) where I grew up. Arnold's brother Anton somehow came to the Bunker Hill area where he met and married his wife Kathryn Sneeringer. They lived on a farm and raised 12 kids. One of the boys just passed away a few days ago and I decided to see if I could find anything else out on the Mullink family and saw your query. I found where there is a Michael Mullink and a Donna Mullink working at the University of Iowa. Also found where Michael was a city councilman for the community he lives in Muscatine Co IA. Based on Arnold's dates I'm betting that Michael is a grandson of Arnold and Mary. You may want to contact him and see what you can learn about Arnold and Mary if he is their descendant. Also, you might want to contact the Catholic church in West Liberty since the Mullink family are buried in Mt Calvary Cemetery which I'm sure is associated with the church there. Sorry I can't help you out further on the Fuhs family. Good luck. If you happen to need further information Anton's family, let me know. I know the whole family. Debbi
