He served in the U.S. Army Airforce during World War II from June 8, 1943, to Feb. 15, 1946. He was a postal clerk for 28 years with the U.S. Post Office, retiring 22 years ago. He was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, John Ohlinger Post No. 547 of Portsmouth and Knights of Columbus. Mr. Kenney and his wife, Anna, were married 54 years. He moved with his wife to Harlan where he ran a garbage route. He later was a custodian at Clarinda School System. He lived in Huntington Beach, Calif., for 10 years.
