P. Gonner age 82 born in Luxemburg, truck farmer. His wife is Mary age 71 born in Ohio. Living with them is their 51 year-old single nephew, Charles Leichner, born in Indiana. I believe this Charles Leichner is my great uncle, but I can’t figure out how he can be a nephew of the above people. Charles’ mother, Amelia Wery Leichner had a sister Mary who married a Sylvester Reifsnyder who homesteaded in Colorado. I thought perhaps a widowed Mary married a widowed M. P. Gonner. (Mathias Gonner married Agnes Barnes 17 Jan 1876 in Boulder, Colorado.) However, Mary Gonner’s parents, according to the census, were born in England and Ohio. Mary Wery Reifsnyder’s parents were born in Germany. Can anybody help me out here? Is this the Mathias-Prosper Gonner you mentioned above?
