I have posted a photo of my gr. grandfather on a web site. If you have time, would you please go there and see if you recognize the uniform. It may be Mecklenberg or Prussian Army, but maybe something else. He was in New York before 1855, then to Illinois, then to Iowa. Any help is greatly appreciated.
