He was born Nov. 1, 1929, in Ontario, Canada, to Andrew Murry and Thyra Ketcheson DeNike. He married Kristin Apking Nov. 21, 1998. Survivors are his wife; daughter, Kathy Ouellette, Princeton, Iowa; sons, Scott, Bettendorf, Kevin, Davenport; two grandchildren; sister, Barbara Cochrane, Ontario; brothers, Don and Doug DeNike, both of Ontario.
