Please email me about this Waterhouse family as I have more to add and would like to compare notes. Of interest/confusion was the reference to 'Niagara', Michigan in one of the posts. I don't find a Niagara, Michigan now or historically. Possibly mis-read record or mis-information given for death record??? They certainly came out of Michigan to but not from "Niagara". They did go from NY to Michigan abt 1833/34 then to Iowa abt 1838/39 then some to Colorado and other points as far as I've tracked. John Waterhouse (Jr.) went NY>MI>IA>IL>IA Ron, did you ever find the burial place? I have some buried over in Clinton Co., Iowa that are of this family. One is a Clarissa and she died in 1843 but I'm not certain whom she is. Has anyone found a marriage for a John Waterhouse and a Sarah between 1843 and 1850 in Scott Co.? The father John is listed with a wife Sarah in 1850 Census in Scott Co., Iowa. It appears that Clarissa Jane is a repeated name in the familes so I wonder if the Clarissa that died in 1843 is the mother of the family or?? It's hard to say as no birth date is given. I know two of the other Waterman's buried there. I'd like to make contact with anyone researching this family. Looking forward to a reply Darla [email protected]
