Hi. I am happy to have joined the Scott county list, since I am from there. I am currently running a website for Iowa's Ghost Towns. It is at www.iowaghosttowns.com If anyone knows of any "ghost" towns (towns that disapperared or not what they once were it their prime) please let me know. Hi Mel, I did a comprehensive research project on the lost towns of Scott Co. a couple of years ago. You can view it here: http://www.celticcousins.net/scott/losttowns.htm. It took several months but with the help of our great IASCOTT list members, and many hours of library research, I think we have quite a good list of lost towns and settlements. Many of the IAGenWeb counties are doing or have already done similar ghost or lost town projects. Where in Scott are you from, Mel?
