I am posting this message for anyone that can make a connection between Joseph Green of Davenport who was a witness at my Gr. Grandmothers wedding. 1872 May 15 - Garrison Church - Toronto on Portland St. Sarah Helen Griffin wed John Goddard Sarah was orphaned around Atlanta, Georgia during the Civil War. Her father George was killed in action and her mother Maryann Griffin died soon after of Typhoid. She was born in SC and was 7 years old when she immigrated to Ontario alone, in 1871 she was a seamstress working in Toronto.
