Were there City Directories printed of Council Bluffs in the 1800s? If there where, what is the first year? I read in the HOSFORD Family book that a Harry HOSFORD born about the same time my gr-gr-gr-gr-grandfather Harry HOSFORD was a pioneer of Council Bluffs (that's all it says about that Harry HOSFORD). My gr-gr-gr-grandfather Thomas M. V. DAWSON also may have run a hotel sometime between 1860 and 1887 in Council Bluffs (according to an interview with his daughter Viola May DAWSON BURGESS).
