I have found the names of his parents in the 1925 Iowa census, they are William Nichols and Nancy Corbin, and I also have been able to confirm who Gertha's parents were with this census, as she was Thomas's niece and was living with Thomas until his death in 1946. So that gave me Thomas's brother Calvin. Now I need to start looking in Ohio for things that will connect this whole family together, so far what I have found on William and Nancy mentions only 1 daughter, Sarah M. and I have found that Thomas had 1 brother Calvin, and 1 other sister, Wealthy. Calvin married Ella Murry in Jackson Township, Knox County, Ohio. Wealthy Nichols married William Howell, in Jackson Township, Knox County Ohio.
