This morning while I reading some of the obituaries on the Obituary board it came to me that we have whole families listed here. I know how important an obituary can be and how we usually go after the earlier obituaries. So I thought I would see what I could come up using the current obituaries that have been posted on the Obituary board. For the "Newbies" to our list and to genealogy this might be of interest to you and a maybe even starting place?? I took just five surnames at random and began to form the families (just from our posted obituaries), just to see what information if any I could put together on children, parents, spouses, etc could be put together on the family of the deceased. Please remember the obituaries I am using are mostly for the years of 2000-2003. Harry Johnson, d. before 30 Jan 2002 These families were put together for no other purpose than to show how much information can be gleaned from an obituary....even a recent obituary. So to all of you Newbies out there....Be sure to read the obituaries! You never know what you will find in them that may aid in furthering your research. Just something to think about..... Constance
