Ruppert are my grandparents. My grandmother, Helene, always referred to August, Jr. as Augie. They had two children, Mary Elaine (b. 1920) and James, Jr. (b. 1921) who was in the Marines and died during WWII at Guadalcanal. The family moved from Council Bluffs to Phoenix, AZ in approximately 1936. Helene died in 1968 and James in 1972 (I believe). Mary Elaine married John Aidan Peirce of San Francisco in 1946 and currently lives in San Carlos, California.
