I have had a few requests to look up area physicians from the early settlement of Pottawattamie County. I have some materials which contain names and other info on physicians, but I don't have a truly comprehensive database. If you are seeking a deceased physician, you can have a search done at the National Genealogical Society for a $15.00 fee (prepayment required). If you wish to contact them, you can request a search at: National Genealogical Society Attn: Deceased Physician File 4527 17th Street North Arlington, VA 22207-2399 Since I'm opposed to paying for any genealogical data if I don't absolutely have to, I'm putting together a database of Pottawattamie County physicians from materials that I have or can find on microfilm. I'll send it to our computer whiz in the next day or so and have it posted to the Pott. Co. web site for everyone to access.
