Carlson The funeral for Rose Mae (Lincoln) Carlson, 85, of Neola will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Neola Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dean Sparr officiating. Mrs. Carlson died July 8 in Council Bluffs. She was born in Pacific Junction. She lived in Neola 55 years. She was a graduate of Pacific Junction High School. She was a farm wife. She was a member of Neola Garden Club. She was an avid gardner and loved flowers. She began making rugs at age 11 and did so throughout her life. She also made quilts. She was a member of Neola Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Carlson was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Carlson, on May 9, 1997. They were married Sept. 25, 1948. Survivors include her daughter, Lois Gittins, and husband, Gary, of Neola; son, Gene Carlson, and wife, Janet, of Shelby; grandchildren, Gina Wiggins and husband, Richard, of Bellevue, Bill Carlson of Shelby, Adam Gittins of Ames, Joshua and Jeremiah Carlson of Shelby; great-grandson, Gage Wiggins; brother, Dean Lincoln and his wife, Margaret, of Pacific Junction; numerous nieces, nephew, other relatives and a host of friends. Visitation with the family will be tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home and Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Neola Presbyterian Church in Neola. Burial will be in Neola Cemetery.
