Vandals tipped over and broke 40 headstones, some dating back to the 1800s. They caused $4,000 worth of damage, but didn't harm The Black Angel. A local businessman has donated $250 and challenged other businesses to do the same. Donations can be made to the city Parks and Recreation Office, 209 Pearl St., Council Bluffs, Iowa 51503.
