The Christian Home is still an active agency in Council Bluffs. (I don't live in C.B. anymore, but visit often enough to know it is there.) I worked in the office as a high school student , about 1965. One of my duties was to microfilm the old records. I was fascinated by old files even then. I hope I did a good job. If no one disposed of those records the information is there. I don't know how accessible it is. Good luck. Surnames: Bennett Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Vl.2ADE/267 Message Board Post: Does anyone know if the Christian Home Children's Orphanage in Council Bluffs is still in existence and if it is possible to access records from 1910? I found Vasco Bennett listed as a young boy in the 1910 census and would like to know if he is the the one I am looking for. I'm thinking there couldn't be too many Vasco Bennett's in 1910. :) Thanks ==== IAPOTTAW Mailing List ==== Visit the Pottawattamie County Web Page www.iagenweb.org/pottawattamie ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237
