Hi Jerry, I read your inquiry with interest. My situation is similar to yours. I have had no success in locating the burial site of my GGGrandmother, Lucy Hollick Yates, who died in Council Bluffs 21 Sept 1850. Two of her children also died in Council Bluffs: William Yates, died 1851; and Ann Yates died 1853 (she married a non-Mormon and did not come west). The remainder of the family came west to Salt Lake City with the John Tidwell Wagon Train of 1852. If you have any success in your search while you are in Council Bluffs, would you be kind enough to let me know so that I might know where to continue my search. I wish you success in your efforts.
