Also the newspapers will have the "facts" :-) on what took place and possibly even the trial. I have 12 pages of newspaper articles on a murder that my ggrandfather was involved with in 1895 South Dakota. Hi listers, Just thought I'd give you a "heads-up" that a copy of the History of Pottawattamie Countythat was published in 1975 is being offered on Ebay. Here is the URL: http://cgi.aol.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2916284465& category=20928 This book has a lot of information about early Pottawattamie County as well as biographical info about many families. While it is a "mug book", it can be a big help in fleshing out some of your family members, if they are included. You can e-mail the seller to find out if your family name is included.
