I went to ancestry.com with excitement only to find that for some reason my family I am looking for on the 1885 census aren't there. It seems that Pottawatamie Co, IA; Council Bluffs area, Henry Co, Mt. Pleasant and Des Moines Co., Burlington are the ones that I need. Anyone have access to state censuses for ANY or all of these above areas?? I am looking for: Samuel R. Parker (S R PARKER) b. 1854, Marietta, OH, he would be about 31 or 32 +/- in 1885.
