The deceased, Patrick J. Lowery, was always referred to as "Patsy" Lowery by my father. Evidently, that was the family nickname for him, as he died in 1901, my father George Mugan, wasn't born 'til 1909. "Patsy" would've been my dad's uncle, the half-brother of his mother, Bridget Pendergast Mugan. Patsy is buried in St. John's Cemetery, Emmetsburg, in the family plot. It is an old marble, obelisk-type stone, that age & weather have made nearly illegible.
