The husband served in the Civil War and later became a popular judge of the area. A daughter, Grace Castle, married John Earl Free, and moved to eastern Washington near the Waitsburg area. She died giving birth to her fourth child, Paul S. Free, who was soon given to her parents, the Castles of Shenandoah, to raise. It is possible that Judge Castle's wife's name was Ophelia Jane Reid. That is not absolutely certain, but only possible, and might aid in the search, if correct. Thanks to any who have pertinent information. - Gena Free Greenhalgh
