I have been told he went to the civil war with 3 of his brothers. After the war he ended up settling on a farm around North Grove (Page Co.) Iowa. He married, Sarah Jane ? in 1870, she passed away in 1878. He then married Elizabeth Mitchel in 1878, she died ? . His third wife was Lucy Wilson, married 1902. Jacob's ancestors immigrated from Germany and ended up in Pennsylvania.
