Hello to the Great State of Iowa, I am searching for any information anyone can provide me with regard to the surname TARRANT and FEDEREN. Both families lived in various parts of the state, but spent quite a bit of time in the Minneapolis area. I am searching for PHILIP FEDEREN (1883) and his wife EDITH FEDEREN (1884) and their two children FABIOLA TARRANT (1897) and CECILE TARRANT (1893). They were last known to be in the Twin Cities area in 1944, but their descendants could be anywhere by now. They were relatives of GEORGE A. SHANNON AND ISABELLA (McDonald) SHANNON of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, and their son ROBERT D. SHANNON, who was last known around 1942-44 to be living in Spencer, Iowa. Names of his mother and father and six brothers and 4 sisters unknown. Willison B. WHITE graduated from Muskingum College in 1843. He married on April 14, 1847 to Rachel W. McClenahan of Guernsey County, Ohio. He moved to Page County, Iowa in 1870, and purchased a farm in Amity township. I am researching my LOWER ancestors. Frederick and Elizabeth Morrison LOWER were in Miami county, Ohio for the 1860 census, but had moved to Nodaway twp, Taylor county Iowa by the 1870 census. One daughter, Annie (m. Milton ANKENY), was born in Page county. Almena (m. Charles ANKENY) was born in Taylor county. The older children were born in Ohio: Eliza, John (m. 1. Sevilla Ellen COMBS and 2. Milwaukee?), Sidney (m. Perry SHIPLEY) Harry (m. Martha Elizabeth HELLER in Taylor county).
