I found your name on the Page County website. I am hoping that you can help me locate some information on my maternal great great grandfather and great great grandmother. Apparently, most of the information that I have on them is not correct. Originally I was told: Albert Edwin Buck B: 9/15/1849 in Wappalo County, Ohio ... there is no such county D: 11/7/1921 possibly in Blanchard, Page, Iowa ... recently I have been told that he did not die until the 1940's. Rosetta Matilda (Sanderson) Buck B: 11/23/1853 in Sheffield County, Ohio ... there is no such county I have discovered that there is a city Sheffield in Lorain County, Iowa and I am now checking there for information on her and her parents. D: 4/29/1923 ... recently I have been told that she did not die until the 1940's. I am hoping that you may be able to confirm that they are buried in Page County Iowa. Perhaps you could point me in the right direction. I know that I can get alot of information from the funeral homes about them, once I locate which funernal home handled their burial. I would appreciate any information that you can locate for me or any pointers that you can give me about how to locate more information on them. I found a reference to an "O'Connor" buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Shenandoah (Chp. 32 page 46) but I am unable to bring up the information which would show me the inscription. When I click on Chap. 32 (Grant County) for the information, I received a map of the township where the cemetery is located. (which is a great map, though )! I am trying to find out about my ggrandparents Joseph Claude and Elsie E. (Johnson) Ross. They were both born in Iowa, not sure if it was Page Co or not. I do know their first 5 kids were born there. They had 5 kids in Page County, including my grandmother Norma R. 05 Nove 1914. My grandmother passed away and I have not been able to find out anything more about them. I did find them on the 1920 Soundex for Colorado where they moved in 1916. Two more children were born to them. If anyone has any info about Joseph or Elsie, please let me know.
