I have been trying to find some information on the Burns Family that lived in Rawles Township, Mills County. They are in the 1860 & 1870 census. Thomas E. BURNS b July 4, 1817 P.A.d ? He was married in 1840 to Mary HODGIN b September 17, 1822 Ohio d 1854, buried ?. They had 7 children; Martha J., Robert W. (buried in the Wabounsie Cem.) Sarah Ellen, Mary E. Joseph S., Edward L., and John W. In 1854 he married Diantha HODGIN.(Mary's brothers daughter) b June 9, 1836 Indiana d.Feb.10,1912 buried Whiting,Monona,Iowa. They had 4 children; Rebecca Josephine, Thomas Stephen, Isabella Ann, and Edith E. We don't know who his parents are, when he died or is buried. If anyone could give us any help it would be greatly appreciated. Kathy
