Resident Dies at Woodbine, Iowa Mr. and Mrs. D.J. Shannon returned last week from Woodbine, Iowa where they had been called the week previous by the serious illness of their daughter, Mrs. J.F. Purcell of that city, who passed away on Sunday Feb 15. Mrs. Purcell was the last of the four daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Shannon. She is survived by her husband and four children. Funeral services were held from the Christian church at that city. The Woodbine Twiner carries the following life sketch of Mrs. Purcell. Oma Lenna Shannon was born in Meigs County Ohio, June 20 1877, and died in her home at Woodbine Iowa Feb 15 1925. In 1893 she came with her parents to Mills county and there she met and married J.F. Purcell, Jan. 13, 1904. To this union four children were born, Fay, Carl, Wallace and Anna, all at home. Shortly after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Purcell moved to Harrison county and following a year there returned to Mills county. In 1916 they again came to Harrison county to make their home.
