Louis Lanz was born 1819 in Mecklenburg, Germany. Do not know date of emigration. He married Sophia Matthiensen in Council Bluffs in 1866, they lived in Mineola, Mills Co, IA. Sophia is my great-grandfather's sister. I am in contact with some of the Lanz descendants if you think you have connection.
