First; the town named for the Lewis family was called Lewis City and in 1879 the name was changed to Mineola. This information was found in the Mills County Genweb sight. Daniel purchased land from the Mormons in 1851, called Cuttlers Camp and consisted of aproximatly 1200 acres. He donated a portion of this land for the East Liberty Church and Cemetery which can be found two and a half miles northeast of Malvern, IA. Second; In Harriet (Holstine) Lewis' obituary they have stated that she was the mother of 12 children.
