    1. [IAMILLS-L] Searching for a deceased sister's name
    2. The 1931 Mills County Probate Records for Mary & Minnie MAGUIRE/MAGWIRE listed the four children of a deceased sister as their heirs. The deceased sister's children's names and their place of residence in 1931 were: George BELL of Creston IA, Frank BELL of Freeport IL, Lela HOSSLE of Emerson IA and Luella TURNER of Red Oak IA. The MAGUIRE's were born in Huntingdon County PA and moved to Emerson Mills County IA in 1878. They originial spelling of their last name was MCGUIRE. >From the information on the 2 probate records it would appear that the deceased sister was married to a man named BELL. This sister probably married before 1880 as she was not listed in her father James MAGWIRE's residence in Indian Creek Township on the 1880 Fed Census. Does anyone know of a BELL family who's children included a George, Frank, Lela and Luella? My aunts remembers visiting her father Charles MAGUIRE's cousin on a farm near Emerson, IA and playing with a Virginia HOSSLE in the 1920's. This was probably Lela HOSSLE's daughter. Does anyone know Lela HOSSLE's husband's name or have information on the HOSSLE family? This name is pronounced as HAW-SALL with the O pronounced as an A. I think it is a German name.
