Briley, son of Mary and Jesse Briley, was born August 13, 1864, in Holt County, Missouri, and passed away September 6, 1935, at the age of 71 years and 21 days. When a small boy he came to Mills County and here he spent the remainder of his life. He is survived by five sons, three daughters, five brothers and four sisters, the children being: Mary Fitzgibbons, Phillip Briley, Percy Briley and Ernest Briley, all of Omaha; Alfred Briley of South Dakota, James Briley and Zelma Russell of Wisner, Nebr., and Luella Faltner of Troy, Kas. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Myers home here in Glenwood. Those acting as pallbearers were his sons, Phillip, Percy, Ernest, James and Alfred; and a son-in-law, Frank Fitzgibbons.
