I am trying to identify the Abel Carey mentioned in the entry below (from early Mills Co. history). He is not the husband of Elizabeth Stansbury who has a daughter named Melissa . This Melissa would not be old enough to marry in 1851. " Mills Co. Settlers 1836-56 The year following, 1851, witnessed the first marriage in Indian Creek township. The oldest daughter of Abel CAREY, Melissa, was married to Mr. SILKET" Also, the entry mentions a burial which took place " buried a little north of what is now known as the Carey burying ground.
