Being a newbie on the list I was not sure what to say or do. I appreciate everyone's help in my search. Sandra Researching Harlan & Parr
As Cay said, Nancy is buried next to John. Also, it shows that John served in Company D, 39th Iowa Infantry in the Civil War. Also next to Nancy on the other side is Sarah Parr ETHERINGTON, 1874-1966, and next to her is Aaron PARR, d. 5 Sept 1893. Hope this helps, Gay Sivers Weston Researching SIVERS, MEADOWS, PENDERGAST, EVERNHAM
Does anyone have any information on George Marshall b 1845 England, I don't know when he immigrated, but he married Jane Dunlap (b 1850 Wisconsin) in Mills Co. in 1868. Their first child Mary Everith was born in Mills Co. Did George immigrate with other family members? I do have some information on George in England and his siblings. He died at the age of about 35 in Colfax Co. Ne. Jane later married Calvin Holsclaw. Linda

Joyce, I show that Walter Samuel Glenn (my great uncle) did die in Bellevue, Sarpy County, Nebraska. I have the marriages for all of William Glenn's children if that will help. My grandmother was Leatha Bell Glenn Hunter Wood. Her first marriage was to Dale Walter Hunter. Her second to Alfred Roman Wood. She is buried (as is Al) in Carson City, NV. Uncle Walter was also married twice, May Defoe first and Emma Glenn second. I have Emma's death date but not her maiden name. Aunt CeCe was married to Clinton Robbins. Aunt Mildred was married to Robert Davis. Hope this helps. Hi Inez, Thanks so very much. I really appreciate the trouble you are going through. I believe that the Nebraska gene pool lists Walter Samuel Glenn born 30 Aug 1896 died in Bellevue, Sarpy County, Nebraska. Does this information agree with what you have? I have the Glenn children's names but need their marriage information and descendants. Do you have any of that information? I would deeply appreciate it. Again, thanks so much. Cay, I'm still not getting Mills County messages. I got your today, about the Addy's, but none of the others that were sent today. Thanks, Pat
Don't know if other messages were sent to mailing list today. The original Addy message was posted on the Message Board. Do you have that set to send you the notifications. I have reviewed my settings and see nothing wrong. Nobody is writing these days. This message is going to the list so we will see if you and others get it. Hi Listers, Are there any descendants on this mailing list of Richard Coleman Estes and his second wife, Elizabeth Harrison Estes who came to Mills County in the early 1850's. Some of the Delevans are from this marriage, also Seeger, Wolfe & McClure names were connected. Are there any descendants of Joshua Evan Shelby and his wife, Rebecca Harrison Shelby? They lived in the Waubonsie area and are buried in that cemetery. These are two of the children of John and Martha Nix Harrison of Spencer County Indiana. Another of the children was Samuel Harrison, who with his wife, Amelia, lived in Mills for a number of years before moving to Monona County about 1874. Anyone with knowledge of any of these people please contact me. A mailing list is waiting to be approved for descendants of John and Martha and a number of descendants have been found in Indiana, Kentucky, Iowa and California. Hello to all, The 1904 marriages have just been uploaded. One table still a little askew but it will be fixed next week. Doesn't bother your search. I think the 1905 marriages will be up late next week so you can plan on that. That finishes the marriages for a time. The mailing list and the Message Boards have been extremely quiet since September 11th. I hope we aren't going to let the troubling events of the last month cause us to put our research on the shelf for good. Of course we realize that some of the things we thought were important turned out to be not so important after all. We will keep working to add information to the Mills County web site as long as we are able. Good Hunting! Cay and Margaret
Margaret has uploaded the 1870 Lyons Township census tonight. Since the Search Engine is not covering all files we are glad there is an index online for this census. How many of you are using the Mills Message Boards? What is your opinion of them? These are questions being asked of Board Administrators. I know what I think but would like to have the input of anyone who thinks strongly about them -one way or another. I know that traffic is very light on these sites. Also an opinion about the pop-up advertising which seems to be annoying most people would be interesting. I really don't think it will make much difference what we think, it is a fact of life that money is at the root of all this. It takes money to maintain these kinds of sites and we just need to hope that nothing is done to jeopardize the County web sites. Have you all sent your surnames to Margaret? -- Cay Merryman http://www.rootsweb.com/~iamills/
