    3. Bev, Thanks very much! I have a feeling the article I referred to has a mistake or two...when it states that the marriage took place in 1851. The Abel Cary buried in Hastings Cemetery is a different one --but thanks to you, I now have his wife's date of death and burial place! Anything I can check for you in New England (I have scads of material) or Idaho (where I live)? be happy to do so. 1. [IAMILLS] Abel Carey...Carey Burial Ground
    2. WesBlair
    3. I am trying to identify the Abel Carey mentioned in the entry below (from early Mills Co. history). He is not the husband of Elizabeth Stansbury who has a daughter named Melissa . This Melissa would not be old enough to marry in 1851. " Mills Co. Settlers 1836-56 The year following, 1851, witnessed the first marriage in Indian Creek township. The oldest daughter of Abel CAREY, Melissa, was married to Mr. SILKET" Also, the entry mentions a burial which took place " buried a little north of what is now known as the Carey burying ground. " Where was that located? Thanks for any help anyone can give.....! Pam (in Idaho) -- Volunteer of Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness at http://raogk.rootsweb.com

What caught my eye was the mention of Pearl Cary. Pearl was my grandmothers father. Her name was Mina Cary. I guess I am wondering if William is a brother to Emma? I only have Emma and Charles as siblings, so don't know if there is a connection. I would be interested in any info that you might have. 3. No, I won't unsub anyone until there are a number of bounces and their addy is listed as disabled. It seems to depend on what part of the country you live in as to whether there has been an agreement. I am on a Listowners-L mailing list and there are dozens, if not hundreds of e-mails from list owners trying to figure all this out. It becomes a tremendous problem for a list owner who has several lists of over a thousand subscribers with a big percentage of them using the @home.com addy. Some do not now have a server and some do. Time will work it out. I appreciate your letting me know you are still receiving and sending e-mail via Excite. 3. We have 5 subscribers on the list and 3 on the digest who use the @home.com ISP. If you haven't already found out, that ISP is no more. All of those using this addy will have to find another provider. I hope that you will re-subscribe when you get a new ISP. Unless there is a change of some kind you will be unsubbed from the Mills County list as soon as we are sure this is actually happening. Cay -- Cay Merryman http://www.rootsweb.com/~iamills/
