I was born and raised in Wapello County with many of my relatives in Mahaska. If the town was in Mahaska, you might be looking for Rose Hill. I do not know of a Rosebud in southeast Iowa. In the 70's it was still a town. I moved to FL in 1980 and do not know whether defunct or not. Hope this helps.
