There were a lot of coal mine camps in Iowa and they just about all had names Rosebud may have been a coal mine camp. All towns have to be incorperated to become towns and very few coal mine camps were incorperated. This is a area you might want to look at. Mahaska Genealogy Society, The Nelson Pioneer Farm and The public Library are good places to look for old coal mine camps and towns. Eddie Hoover
