My relatives lived in that area. It should be somewhat Northeast of Oskaloosa, North of Rose Hill. If I am wrong, someone correct me please. I cannot findmy map at this time.

In "The Heritage of Mahaska County, Iowa--2000," p. 73, there is reference to union miners marching toward Eddyville from Avery, Coalfield, "and other coal centers in Monroe County..." Avery is definitely in Monroe County, and from the foregoing one might assume that Coalfield was too, although it doesn't show up on a modern map.

I was there quite a few years back and Abraham s grave was lying down and Marthas was still standing. I have a description of the cemeterys stones from Mah-keo genealogy society. But, I havent been able to get there as often as I should. I am about 3 + hours away. But, I was also wondering about the Bedwells, I see they were friends with the Boltons.
