I can answer most of your questions I think but it would take too much typing this way. This family did a lot of intermarrying and Catherine Enfield Almond, John's mother and Grover's grandmother, was my husband's great aunt as well as his great grandmother. It's confusing to me but I will explain it later. I tried to send the file to what I thought was your address and it came back. Alice

Surnames: Almond, Enfield, Larkins, Rugenburg, Redelfs Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Fl.2ADE/1156.1.1 Message Board Post: I am researching Grover's sister, Maude Almond who married John Edward Redelfs. Maud was born Jan. 21, 1888, probably in Mahaska Co., IA and she died July 17, 1983 in Marysville, WA. I am doing this research for a friend, so I'm not the relative. There children were Albert Bernard Redelfs, Clara, George, Emil John, Maud, Grover, and Viola Irene. Myrna, my friend, has a book about the Redelfs with a picture of John Edward and Maude (Almond) Redelfs. Myrna's father was George Redelfs who married Evelyn Headley. We are trying to find the names of John Wesley Almond and Nellie (Nels) Ruggenburg's children and dates of birth. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, after Burzetta died, do you know who cared for each of the children. I know that Essa was adopted? by Francis and Maggie Graham of Jasper Co., IA. Did she marry John Marion Enfield? So many questions - any help is welcomed - Margaret Pickens

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Shuey, Oliver Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Fl.2ADE/1833.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: The 1930 US Census (Des Moines, Polk, IA, Roll 676, ED 67, Image 785) shows Sherman Shuey, age 53, born abt 1877, living in Des Moines, IA with his wife Leda, and their three sons, Frank, Clarence, and John, and John's wife Maud. They are living next door to the Briley family which is Maud's family. Maud Briley and John H. Shuey were my great-grandparents. At the time of the 1930 Census, Maud was 18 years old and pregnant with my grandmother, Dorothy Shuey. Dorothy would marry Marvin Oliver, son of Merle Oliver and Leona Clark, in 1948. As you noted, Sherman was 4 in the 1880 Census which would fit the Sherman Shuey who was 53 in 1930. The 1920 US Census (Roll T625-50, page 14A, Oskaloosa, Mahaska County, Iowa, ED 79 Image 0232) shows Sherman living in Oskaloosa, Mahaska County, IA, again with his wife Leda and their 3 sons. I could not find your info showing Sherman living alone in Marion County in 1920.
