    1. [IAMADISO-L] SMITH
    2. I am looking for the cemetery in which my gggrand parents are buried. They had a son named Samuel and his wife was Margaret Gray Smith. They were married in 1849 in Columbus, Ohio. In 1850 they were living in Brown Township in Franklin County, Ohio. Their first child was born after the 1850 census was made. They were living in Riceland Township, Keokuk County , Iowa. His parents were John and Rebecca Beall Smith they had also lived in Ohio prior to coming to Clear Creek Township, Keokuk County, Iowa according to the 1860 census. In 1864, Samuel and family moved to Winterset, Iowa. They were living there in 1870 according to the 1870 census. Samuel was listed as a house mover. Living in his home were his parents, John and Rebecca. My grandmother was born Nov 8, 1866 in Winterset. Her obituary states that she moved to Kansas when she was 6 years old. Or about the year of 1872-3. Her grand parents did not come to Kansas to the best of our knowledge. In the 1870 census Rebecca is listed as 72 (we have had her born in 1798 for some time previous). John was age 73 in that census. So they both could have been dead by the time Samuel moved to Kansas. Does any one know if they are buried in one of the cemeteries near Winterset?
