I'm interested in information about how the families lived in Madison County in the era of 1850-1900. Their lifestyles are interesting to me. My families there are the LAIZUREs (James T. and his brother William H. Laizure); RUTHs, and LOWEs. William H. Laizure (1829-1893)married Nancy LOWE in 1868 and lived in Madison Co. Their children married into the Ruth family. Nancy, Wm, and several of their descendants are buried in the McDonald-Chase Cemetery outside of Winterset. I'd like to know anything about Nancy. Did any other LOWEs live in the area? Nancy lived on into the 1920s. James T. LAIZURE moved to KS about 1874. He left behind a son named James J. Laizure who died about 1872. He was about 10 years old. Has anyone ever seen a tombstone for a LAIZURE youth from the 1870s? James T.'s daughter, Rachel Ann, married a LAW. Possibly John Laizure could be interred in a cemetery where the Laws are laid to rest. Thanks, Sharon Laizure Hofer
