Hi, My brick wall is finding the parents of Campbell HUGHART who was born in the Adair/Green County areas of KY in 1812. He married Mary Ann BLAIR 17 Dec 1835 in Adair Co., KY. He died in Cass County,IA in 1890. Their children were: James Milton, Sarah Jane (Cason), Mary Eliza (Shannon), Young Alexander, Melvina Elizabeth (Howell), Eliza Almarise, Bellzona(Sarah's daughter), William Marion, John Blair. Reverends of the United Brethren in Christ Church, Campbell HUGHART, John BLAIR, Richard ARMSTRONG led two large groups out of KY into Madison County, IA as a result of the slavery issue. They were abolitionists and getting resistance from their KY neighbors. They established the Blair Chapel in Madison Co.,and many are buried in the Blair Chapel cemetery. I have some evidence that a Mary "Polly" Clark Baldridge of NC was Campbell's mother and that his father died when he was young so she remarried a James Polk WISDOM in KY. Her children with Unknown HUGHART were: Campbell, Young, Sarah (Sally). Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Cynthia Hughart
