Also William Shoemake b. 1822, m 1842,d1881 and William Shoemake b 6-1833, Indiana, m 1-5-1870, Oskaloos, Mahaska Co, Ia, d 1902. The info that I have states that Shoemake came from DelaChaumette, then Shumate to Shoemake to Shoemaker. If any of this makes any sense to you and you think there might be a link please contact me.
