As long as there is some reminiscing going on about Winterset may I put in my 2 cents. Doug talks about visiting Winterset in the 60's when he was a child and it hasn't changed much. When I was a child in the 30's our family would go to Winterset from Truro on a Friday evening to the movies and to eat at the Northside Cafe (made famous by the movie) then owned by a man named Harry Gaspari. It made for a pretty classy evening I thought then. The town really hasn't changed much since the 30's. The bridges were great attractions even in those days. Life was pretty laid back in those days in Madison County. Cay
