My mom is from Earlham and my grandmother lived there until she died. She did the biography of John Wayne which she gave to the house in Winterset. She loved gathering history through cemetary walkthroughs etc. She used to love going to the Bridge Festival every year but boy has things changed since the movie! Btw for those long time people from Madison County, you might have known my granny (as I affectionately called her), her name was Ethel Scar who I am proud to say I am named after.
