--WebTV-Mail-8576-292 Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Hi--sorry to be so slow in answering. Not sure if Erl Hays (my grandfather) owned a clothing store. I know he had an orchestra and tuned pianos at one time--before he became stone deaf. I do not know where that was. He then became a painter and wallpaper hanger. I am pretty sure that Erl and Maude Drake (my grandmother) were married in Winterset or Earlham perhaps and then somehow ended up in Bolivar, Mo. Maude was returned and buried in Earlham, however, in 1934. I do not know if the Drakes of Bolivar are related to "our" Drakes or not. Does your Mother (OR ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE) recall anything about or have infrmation about Maude Drake or her parents who are buried in Earlham cemetary, Martha Johnson or John Dickerson Drake. Her only sibling was a brother, Simon Mortie Drake who married Clara Trimmer. I would very much appreciate any information anyone may have on any of these people. Thanks for your time. Could you ask your mother if she (or her mother) might have known Maude Drake or family of Earlham who married Erl Hays. (Their children-Bernice Hays--my mother-- and Fred Hays). Maude`s parents were Martha Johnson and John Dickerson Drake. Maude had a brother Simon Mortie Drake who married Clara Trimmer. Thanks for your time. Martha Maxwell talking with my mother and she said she thinks that Erl Hays was the one that had the "clothing" store. Is this the Erl? Where are you now? --WebTV-Mail-8576-292--
