Pam, Eleven, and others trying to make contact with you New England Ancestors, Root Web has another list the CT-RIVER-VALLEY-L. This is a list that was started last summer. During the past month that I have been a member of this list, I have seen information being posted on several of the surnames, including Howard, Wright and Wight, that people on this list are researching. Members on this list live in many parts of the country, from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire all the way to the west coast. I live in central Connecticut, a few miles from the Connecticut River. This is a very active list. There have been many postings of information taken from local histories and genealogies published in the late 1800's and early 1900"s. Most of this information has been forwarded to the list by Cynthia, the list administrator. Others have been doing the transcribing and sending the material to her. I suggest that you search the threaded archives for this list. By using the threaded archives you can search by thread or chronological posting. It will take you time to go through the material. There are many postings for each book. There are also members who have been doing genealogy for many years. They have traced their families all the way across the country.
