    1. Re: [IAMADISO] Madison County Cemeteries
    2. Yes, Judy, we all do very much appreciate your hard work!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You made me very happy the other day when I found you had the Earlham cemetary on line. Oh my---there was my grandmother--Maude (Hays) Drake (spelled wrong, though--it is Hays--it is listed as Hayes) and then--I was even further pleased when I found my Great Grandmother Drake (Martha J (Johnson) Drake) and my Great Grandfather Drake (John D. Drake). By the way, Maude Drake died in Bolivar (where I was born) of a blood clot from a goiter surgery, and was returned o Earlham vor burial. I was only four, but remember her slightly. The two children listed were sons of Maudes brother Claude. One is a twin ,Gary Landing, born and died on Sept 7, 1941--the twin, by the way, was Larry Manning Drake b Spt. 7, 1941 who continued to live--according to my records. The other child in the cemetary, Joan Drake, I actually have listed as Marilyn Joan Drake--and only have birth at "abt 1936". No date of death and no spouse are listed---so I am pretty certain that it is the same person. I may have it somewhere else also. I will let you know if my find anything further on this. Incidentally, Claude had 15 children, according to what I have, including the two at the cemetary. Maude had my mother Bernice Louise (Hays) Winn with four children, Bruce Arden, Mary Louise, George Frederick, and myself, Martha Helen. (then she remearried Roger Williams and adopted three more children later). Maude `s only other child was Fred Hays and he had one child, Marcella, who died young in a car accident, but she did have two children. I include this information because someone around where my mother and her family lived may be interested. I would like to contact some of Claude`s children or grandchildren--but have not had time to pursue it much just yet. I wonder if perhaps some may show up there at the Earlham cemetary--or one of the others--I have not researched that yet. Thank you again--it was really "made my day" to find my grandmother and my great grandparents. We hope to someday make it back there to visit their final resting places. Martha (Winn/Hays) Maxwell
