    3. Terasa, Winterset is a small town. If you take highway 169 south from I-80 the court house is visable before you reach Winterset. Just contininue south and you will pass the east side of the court house square. The library is about two blocks west on the south side of the courthouse square. I think this is Court street. The last time I was there the Library held a collection of materials from the Historical/Genealogical society so I would start there and they can recommend other research locations as needed. 1. Re: [IAMADISO-L] Roll Call: Lynch and Ryan
    2. James: This is a definite match. I fit in as a descendent of another child of James Lynch and Bridget Brown. He was James J. Lynch (1862-1938) who married Nora Veronica Ryan at St. Patrick's Church in the Irish Settlement. They then moved to Laurens, Pocohontas County, where his older brother Edward F. lived. They had four children, James J., Adrian Ryan, Vernon W. and Cecelia. Adrian is my grandfather and played professional baseball in 1920 with the St. Louis Browns. He married Leah Slininger in Des Moines and had 3 children, Nancy, Adrian, and Robert. Robert is my father. I have gathered some of this information from a Pocohontas County History Book and an 1860 Census record from Madison County. A lot of my information is still just on paper. I tried to print out more information from my FTM descendent outline but I can't figure out how to copy the text! Anyway, I'd be very happy if you sent me information you have and I can send information I have. The only thing that jumps out at me that may be in conflict with the data you send in your message is that the 1860 census shows Edward F. being born in New York with Lucy being the first of the children born in Iowa. By the way ... I will probably make a visit to Madison County at the beginning of June. I have never been there but am really looking forward to seeing the area. I'd love to know more about Margaret Lynch Weil and the additional information she was able to provide. Leslie Lynch Alderman 2365 Honeybrook Creek Drive Melbourne, FL 32935

    1. [IAMADISO-L] RollCall - Vicker
    2. Edward J. Susank
    3. I'm looking for information on the descendants of Albert Vicker and Barbara Sedivey. Albert was the son of Jacob Viktora. (Many descendants of other brothers live in Adams and Union County.) Albert was born about 1830 in Bohemia, died September 30, 1901 in Madison township and is buried in the North Branch cemetery. Cemetery records might answer some of my questions: Is Barbara Sedivey Vicker buried in Madison County? Can anyone provide more information on marriage, spouses, or descendents of their three daughters. According to the Madison County census of 1880 they were: BARBARA VICKER, b. Abt. 1864, Bohemia. Census indicates she had child out of wedlock, Zip Vicker. MARY VICKER, b. Abt. 1868 in IA. She married LUDWIG SHATAVA, April 4, 1893, in Earlham, IA (listed in the Madison County Iowa marriage record of 1893 as Mary Victoria) ANNA VICKER, b. Abt. 1871 Alternate spellings include VICTORA, VICTORIA, and VICTORY. I keep running into notes about members of this family helping build the old State Capitol. Anyone know whether records of construction crews still exist? Thanks, Ed Susank Alexandria, VA

    3. In the 1879 History of Madison County there is a short bio on T.C. Moorman, farmer, Section 25; Monroe Twp., P. O. Ohio;, born in Greene County, Ohio, in 1818, and was raised there; he married Miss Rhoda A. Bryan, a native of Greene county, in 1841; came to this county in June 1865, and located where he now lives; owns 150 acres of land; they have a family of four sons and two daughters: Ellis G., Allen B., Susan, now Mrs. Peter Turner, Horace D., Rachel E., now Mrs. Thomas Landes, and Eli H. There is also a mention of W. W. Moorman, farmer, Section 36; P. O. Ohio, same Twp. On page 476 of this same history (pages I did not photocopy)according to the index are mentioned the following people all named Moorman: Dosha, Rhoda, T.C., W.A. and W.N. I don't believe this page is in the biographical area so don't know what kind of info woud be there. I believe there were Moormans living in or near Ohio Twp. also. I think I remember the name of Guy Moorman from when I was a kid living in Truro. That was 60 years or so ago so my memory might be faulty. There is a marriage listed for Allen B. Moorman to Martha E. Martin 29 Mar 1865. 2. Tim Walls
    3. Could someone possibly look up a David C. Pace birth, about 1875, in or near Earlham, Iowa? I would like to know if his parents were listed as Jacob PACE and Hannah W. PACE. They apparently were Quakers, as they were listed in Quaker records back in Indiana. I am also interested in any other brothers of David, such as possibly a F___? Pace or a younger Jacob PACE Jr., born perhaps about 1850 or 1851. Jacob Pace, Sr. was born about 1842 in Kentucky. I did find Jacob, 38, Hannah W., and David C., 5, in Marion County, IN on the 1880 Census. Also, where are birth records kept for Madison County- I need the address and contact name. Thanks-

One of Patrick's sons James(my great-grandfather) moved to Palo Alto Co, IA around 1890 but two of Patrick's daughters married LYNCH's and one of these stayed in Madison county.
