They are descendants of Lester & Ruth {Mauk} Gookin, but don't know how he connects to James M. Gookin, Not enough info to tell. They are next to their paternal Grandparents: Eve and Monroe Gookin. I don't know Sarah's parents .. but are they Rhoda and William Rouse? R & W are on the other side of Carter N. & Infants at Ragtown, children of James M. and Sarah C. Gookin. Are they the maternal grandparents? Not far away & down the list from Relph's are what were likely neighbors: McKinley's, Davis, Threlkeld's from my line.
